Lake Myvatn

Used for several scenes including when John Snow denounced the men of the Night’s Watch and pretended to side with the Wildlings. Not far from this lake is also the famous cave, Grjotagja.

This cave holds a beautiful natural hot spring fed by Lake Myvatn and heated by Earth’s deep volcanic activity. The hot water isn’t the only thing that makes this cave steamy. Game of Thrones fans may recognize this cave in the Season Three episode “Kissed by Fire”, which features John Snow and Ygritte’s love scene.
